Jack thee Ripper

I made quite a name for myself around 1888 as a lady killer(!)..... well actually, the media made quite a name for me, cos no one knows my REAL name now do they!? I completed most of my work in and around the Whitechapel area of London, in public places mostly, just to show off really. It was always late at night or early in the morning though, gotta be a little careful with these things. There were usually some people in the vicinity as I got to work, but it seems there was only one bloke walking by (when I was working on Stride) who ever noticed me. He didn't notice enough I guess, the cops still never caught me! He reckoned I was working with someone..... I got to work on Eddowes just hours after that, I really didn't like getting interrupted like that and leaving something only half done. By the time I finished up my Whitechapel work in November 1888 I'd really loosened up my style. Some thought it was rather messy, but it was all contained in the one room. Except for a heart which I took with me. I became quite a media darling during these days, and became known world wide. There were a bloody billion illustrations regarding my work, some quite fascinating and gruesome in a wonderfully Victorian gruesome tabloid style. Oh yeah, I was one of the first killers to get this kind of attention and infamy. At the time I was also known as "the Leather Apron", doesn't have quite the same ring to it. But Jack the Ripper stuck, and it's a catchy name so I'm not gonna complain. And it seems a lot of rather groovy people like my name too, enough to record some rather "killer" rock n' roll tunes about me.....
