About Me

Nicolas Vera Lewis (27) was born in Concepcion, in the south of Chile. Son of a musician, he began playing the guitar since he was very young. He studied classical guitar but found his true inspiration in jazz. Being mostly a self-taught musician, he moved to the capital Santiago and began to play and collaborate with outstanding and varied musicians. In 2003 he released his first album called "Fiasco Contemporáneo" with the bassist Christian Gálvez, and drummers Félix Lecaros, Carlos Cortés and the argentinian Oscar Giunta, among others. During this time he played in several jazz festivals in Chile and Argentina and toured the whole country. In 2005 he released his 2nd album "Circular" working again with Ch.Gálvez on bass, F.Lecaros on drums and the Belgium Dj Wait & See. He is currently promoting this new album. In 2006 he starts a new proyect called PULSO, which is a fusion between his work and the work of saxo player Agustín Moya. Together they formed this new band along with pianist Lautaro Quevedo and drummer Andy Baeza. For more info check www.nicolasvera.cl
