I am an osteologist by profession and by choice... osteology is the study of ancient human remains in the archaeological record. I am heavily envolved with my academic life at the moment... busy lecturing at a university and getting articles and books (!) ready for publication.

I am looking forward in starting my PhD next year (I don't have a topic yet, so any ideas, please pass them my way!). I am hoping this will lead to a real job someday... although this is highly doubtful given the current job market.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I am interested in meeting people who are similarly interested in the scientific/anthropological aspects of death, dying, decomposition, mourning, and its cultural interpretation as it varies over time and space.
