SHIFT inc. are hammering the naked truth into your brain with ear-splitting, modern metal!
Machinegun-like riffs and emotional melodies are Shift Inc’s trademark. The vocals reflect anger and despair, the lyrics deal with global policy, war and criticism on social issues. “To underline what is going wrong in our world, you have to bring out ‘heavy artillery’†is a common statement from the band members, based in Augsburg, Germany.
The four musicians, all at age in the beginning of their 20ies, met in 1998 – in the past seven years they settled their musical style and worked their sound to perfection. The work in the studio and innumerable live-shows sharpened their senses and strengthened their opinions about what they want and where they will head to.
INCORPORAPED has become an impressive album debut. Both musical and lyrical content are on the spot, and Shift Inc. manage to build a perfect bridge between the rivalry of metal and hardcore: “music shouldn’t be limited within dated clichès!â€
SHIFT inc. are not only heading for the “heavy†target group though. It is their goal to also reach a more mainstream audience, to open up their eyes, take them away from their “pink†pop-world and make them think about the important topics that they are surrounded by. Sometimes intimidating and depressive, then aggressive and furious, Shift Inc. is like a clenched fist in 2005’s music scene!
SHIFT inc.'s second album "portrait" is finally mixed and mastered and will be out in fall 2007 - so stay tuned!
