Le tout a débuté par hasard au printemps 2002, à la suite dune conversation entre deux colocataires dun local de musique situé à Lévis. Attristé par le déclin de son groupe Crucify The Messenger, Mathieu Roberge (drums, ex-Crucify The Messenger/ex-Knockout) demande à Félix Guérin (guitare, ex-Standpoint 418/ex-Empty Soul) sil est intéressé à monter un groupe métal. La réponse savère positive. Après deux pratiques qui donnèrent lieu à la composition de Second face of the earth, Jonathan Drapeau (guitare, ex-Crucify The Messenger/The Vice) se joint à la formation et Mathieu Boisclair (vocal, ex-Remembrance/ex-Empty Soul) fait de même par la suite. Il ne reste plus quà trouver un bassiste, la jeune sensation beauceronne François Mathieu (basse, Bright Night Star/The Vice) fera parfaitement laffaire. À lautomne 2002, Ill-Gotten Throne donne son premier spectacle à lANTI avec Boys Night Out, Mi Amore et The Separation Suicide. Le groupe fait quelques shows et à lhiver 2003, Drapeau et FM quittent IGT. Ce nest quà lété suivant que la formation sera de nouveau complète; Luc Gagnon (guitare, ex-Head Up), J-P Morin (basse, ex-S.M.O.G) et Jérôme (guitare) se joignent à IGT. Ce dernier quitte le groupe au printemps 2004. Décembre 2005, notre bon ami Julien Marcotte (Blinded By Faith) a remplacé Mathieu Roberge aux percussions. Il est tellement motivés et talentueux. Nous devons travailler nos chansons et un album devrait voir le jour en 2008. Ne vous inquiétez pas...nous ne sommes pas morts.****************************************************** ******** It all began during the spring of 2002, after a discussion between two friends in Lévis. Saddened by the decline of his band Crucify The Messenger, Mathieu Roberge (drums, ex-Crucify The Messenger) asked Félix Guérin (guitar, ex-Standpoint 418/ex-Empty Soul) if he was interested to start a metal band. The answer was positive. After two practices, they wrote their first song (Second face of the earth) and then, Jonathan Drapeau (guitar, ex-Crucify The Messenger/The Vice) and Mathieu Boisclair (vocal, ex-Remembrance/ex-Empty Soul) joined the band. But a piece of the puzzle was missing, the bass player. The young sensation, François Mathieu (bass, Bright Night Star/The Vice) from St-Georges de Beauce did a brilliant job and joined the band. Fall 2002, Ill-Gotten Throne gave their first show at L'ANTI with Boys Night Out, The Separation suicide and Mi Amore. After a few more gigs, Drapeau and FM leave the band. It is only at the summer that IGT will be again complete. Luc Gagnon (guitar, ex-Head Up), J-P Morin (bass, S.M.O.G) et Jérôme (guitar) joined IGT. After a year with the band, Jérôme decided to leave IGT. December 2005, our good friend Julien Marcotte (Blinded By Faith) has replaced Mathieu Roberge on drums. He is so motivated and talented.We need to work on our songs and an album should be released in 2008. Do not worry...we are not dead!!!..
