About Me

Van muziekopleiding ben ik eigenlijk saxofoonspeler, na een aantal jaren in een kleine band saxofoon te hebben gespeeld ben ik omgeschoold naar basgitarist wegens het vertrek van onze toenmalige basspeler! Nadat het muzikale hoofdstuk van de groep Kammezool was afgesloten hebben de instrumenten 12 jaar aan de kant gestaan. En plots was dat virus er weer, maar nu was de betrachting om gitaar te gaan spelen. Ondertussen sedert een tijd vaste lead gitarist van The Lemelins en na talrijk komen en gaan van zangers in die rockband werd gezamelijk beslist dat ook ik de zang voor mijn rekening mocht nemen. Moest je het eens willen nachecken, myspace.com/thelemelins is het adres. Doch wens ik niet enkel rockmuziek te maken, met dit project doe ik een poging om muziek in alle puurheid te beleven... Alle nummers zijn door mezelf gecomponeerd en van tekst voorzien, en geregistreerd onder mijn naam.
My musical education started with being a saxophone player, after a few years in a rock band and because of the need for another basplayer i started learning and playing bas in the band called Kammezool. After the split of the band for 12 years the music virus was gone...untill a few years ago when i desided to learn to play guitar. Rather soon i was playing as a lead guitarist in a band called The Lemelins, and after the in and outs of some vocalists the band asked me to take over the singing to. But because I also want to make music in his purest form this project started, some songs are written and composed but do not sound pure enough with a rockband. They need the simple pureness of vocals and one instrument to say what they need to say. I have composed all the songs myself and placed the nessesary lyrics.They are all copywrite protected under my personal name.

Wasting Time
somehow it can feel like wasting time when you invest in a relationship and there comes an end to it! Mad about it but at the same time you would like to express your feelings to the one that made it come to an end. You can not understand the descision while you invested all you had....maybe it just was not enough!
Walk The Rain
The idea of this song came to me when walking in the rain, everyone was running to reach there target and getting there as dry as possible was the intention. on that point my consideration was that there was no hurry because the rain was clean. It did feel like it was cleening the soul at that point and instead of hurry to get out of it. So on contrary of getting out as fast as you can it more felt like a liberation and an opportunity to get my mind clear. I think we should do it more often, trying to see the possitive point in the things we do not like.

Smooth Chess
I think the lyrics are more then obvious, what happens when people meet from different cultures, other religions.... and what will need to be broken before they can join wile the question remains. Was it all worth the trouble to ourselfs but also to the ones that you have to leave behind or the one that you hurt?

Why
Some people cry when something bad happens in there lives, i write a song about it in a search on how to place it in my life...
A few years ago a friend from childhood comitted suicide, while having a nice family, nice kids and for more he also seemed to have a fairly happy proffesional live. Untill the day he did what he considered that was needed to be done. We will never understand why, so many questions will remain unsolved but the loss that we feel need to be placed. The only thing we can do is to keep him in our mind, so that his reason for living appeals to be more positive in our lives then his departure. It was his choice and as I do not approve it, i will try to understand it.

The one to me
I think the title is more then obvious, and declairs all that is to say about it! Like a dream you get feelings for someone you do not know, you only see her walking by each day..... untill that day you start to see her and a relationship starts.... then you understand at a point that dreams can come true, but only if you really want them to! So be carefull what to wish for, they can come true!
