About Me

Oneiros was formed in late 1996, when I decided to go pro with my musical talents. I felt the name was appropriate for the music it entailed. Oneiros is a greek term relating to dreams. The music I produce has always had a thick and dream-like atmosphere. I have been playing the keyboard since I was a young boy. I can recall when I got my first casio, I was immitating John Carpenter's Halloween theme song. I must have only been 9 or 10 years old. I've always had a passion for soundtracks. I was never one to get into lyric's like most of my friends. Instead I was more inclined to pay attention to the sounds of the instruments of songs I heard in films and on the radio. I saw Dario Argento's "Suspiria" on the Sci-Fi channel back in '95 when I was still in High School. I can never forget the feeling that overcame me when I saw this film, I was engulfed into Goblin's legendary soundtrack. I asked my parents for a Keyboard that XMAS, so I could start making music on a more mature level. They gave me a yamahaa that at the time (I thought) was pretty damned cool.. It was about a $400 keyboard. In 1996, I discovered Mortiis when I was in a music shop in Juarez, Mexico. I loved his music, and I realized how simple sounding it was, and knew that I could do better. I saved up and got the Korg Trinity in 1997. I studied up on my Goblin, my Frizzi, my Carpenter, Morriconne, etc... And before I knew it, I was preforming my own original material in goth clubs in El Paso. Since then, I have traded in the Trinity for the Korg Triton, and have produced 3 of my own albums. 2 of which are now out of print. Des Morts is still avaliable for only $6 on deadline recordings .
