Charm, born and raised in Chicago, IL, has been singing since the age of six. Inspired by the legendary voices of Whitney Houston, Patti Labelle and Jennifer Holiday and further influenced by todays music stars Beyonce, Mary J. Blige and Lil Mo, Charm has developed a sound of her very own.
Although she is still young, you cant help but to notice the maturity of Charms singing prowess. Her limitless range and powerful soulful voice has already won her many accolades, such as gracing the stage of the legendary Apollo Theatre, performing at the Pre-Grammys and more recently winning Chicago based radio station 92.3 FMs high school call in competition for 11 consecutive months!
As an artist, Charm is in a class all by herself. She has the ability to represent for the streets as well appeal to the mainstream. Her image is aspirational, a sexy blend of the urban culture and high fashion world. Charms musical style is a fusion of soulful R&B with a strong Hip-Hop presence, reminiscent of old school SWV with a 2000 sound. A contributing writer on her project, Charms songs cater to the ears of listeners of all ages. She vibes with the younger generation over Hip-Hop tracks while jazzing up to older crowd with heartfelt ballads.
Charms unique ability to dive into the character of a song is incredible. She makes the listener feel each and every emotion that the song is meant to evoke. Proving that her recordings are no flukes, Charms live performance is second to none. She basically owns the stage. When Im on stage I feel like Im in my own little world! proclaims the young Diva.
