The International Drag King Community Extravaganza, hosts drag troupes from all over the world, where they come together for four days of performance and workshops. Performances range from Dragdom, a variety show, to a grand Showcase, featuring the best of the best. Workshops cover many topics surrounding gender performance such as promoting, dancing, entertainment, femme building, gender transition issues and much more. Highlighting each conference is an art and film festival, science fair and keynote speaker who shares thoughts on issues within the LGBTQ community; past speakers include Leslie Fienberg and Bear S. Bergman. IDKE welcomes the entire community to join in celebrating, learning and embracing gender performance.
