I write because I must.

About Me

INTP - "Architect". Greatest precision in thought and language. Can readily discern contradictions and inconsistencies. The world exists primarily to be understood. 3.3% of total population.I was born in 1978 in Tyne Connecticut, a small town outside of Coventry, where I still live. At the age of 16 I won the prestigious Lovecraft Award for short story. I majored in both Lachrymology and Phrenology at Yale University. I have battled Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and am currently in good health. Recently I have been nominated for a Congressional Pyrite Honors Award for fiction. I have written two novels.

My Interests

I love Writing and Reading. Listening to music since I can't play an instrument or sing worth a damn. Football (American Football, not Futball/Go Skins!). Occasionally painting. Being Geeky (Gaming in one form or another). I hope one day to own a penguin. I love Lobsters and...

I'd like to meet:

She's a brick, and I'm drowning slowly.

Music:

Pretty much anything sung by Maynard James Keenan (Go out and buy 10,000 Days, the new Tool album!) and otherwise fairly eclectic tastes. I'll kick it with In Extremo, Beck, Mindless Self Indulgence, Billie Holiday, Jamie Cullum, The White Stripes, Soul Coughing, and for some reason the Levellers, Simon and Garfunkel, Rush, The Gorrillaz, Outkast (specifically Idlewild), Toad the Wet Sprocket, The Shins (they write like I write), Cake, Jellyfish (RIP), Wilson Pickett, The Jayhawks (when they still had two singers), The Dresden Dolls and Poe also come to mind. In addition a friend recently turned me on to a band called Muse, so if you don't know them check 'em out; they're very.... Radio...head...ish. Another friend, another band... The Weakerthans.

Movies:

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, LOTRs damnit, and who can leave out Fight Club, Garden State, 28 Days Later, American Beauty, Seven, Brotherhood of the Wolf, Life is Beautiful, A Life Less Ordinary, Big Trouble in Little China, Saved!, O' Brother Where Art Thou?, Nightmare Before Christmas (It was out in 3D, and it was awesome!), even modern Noir stuff like Lucky Number Sleven or Kiss Kiss Bang Bang or Brick, and countless others... Just know that I know more movies than you.

Television:

Gotta love The Daily Show. The Office. The Colbert Report. South Park. 24. I miss Firefly and Farscape. Does Samurai 7 count as TV?

Books:

In the time before time the world was neither pure nor innocent. Join the adventure of seven young men meeting the horrors of the world and taking their first steps towards an even darker future. It has been seven years since the battle at Bedland Hollow and the 7th Realm is again facing a time of great conflict. Rejoin the adventure as the land threatens to tumble into darkness.Outside of those I've written:Siddhartha, my thesaurus, and the W.O.T. series. I should also make special mention of the Dark Tower series. I don't know how many times I've bought the book the Gunslinger. It's really a serious problem. It's almost at the point where I can't see it without buying it. I think I presently own three or four copies of it. **Edit-Note to other Dark Tower fans; Stephen King has allowed backstory about Roland's youth to be done in a comic he's doing with Marvel comics. The art is by Jae Lee. It will be at least 6 comics, the first is out now and a hardcover edition of the first 6 will be released at some point. The artwork and art design are fantastic** The Hitchhiker's Guide inapproapriately named trilogy. Good Omens (the funniest book about Armageddon EVER!). Oh, and Ender's Game. That book was a total mind-fuck the first time I read it.

Heroes:

Super or unleaded? Honestly, Shakespeare, Ben Franklin, Chaucer, Eddie Izzard, Charlie Kaufman, Bill Watterson, George Orwell, Douglas Adams, Neil Gaiman, Dave Barry, Terry Pratchett, Heinlan, MJK, Stephen R Lawhead and Robert Jordan, would it were that I could write as them all the time. And, most especially... Not Charles. He is lame. Schweinhund he is.
