Mutgash poison R.I.P. /12/2002 - 1/1/2008
The long forgotten words of a 24th century school yard rhyme echo in our minds:
"Muttgash Poison is our name
And Terra is our nation
Deep space
is our dwelling place
And death's our destination"
Thanks to all who let us defile their stages, bedrooms, warehouses, festivals, pubs, clubs, lounge rooms, backyards, rotunda's(I shit you not), dojo's, squats, galleries, discotheques, theaters, lane ways and that long thin open plan kitchen/dinning area...oh and that sun room thing that was also long and thin and awkward to play in.
And thanks to all who attended to love and listen and heckle and throw ducks(I think my nose may have been broken by one of those rubber bastards) ...
At our last rehearsal we had a discussion about how hard it was to imagine Mutgash Poison ever breaking up and then a week later we no longer had any need to imagine. Let that be a lesson to all ye with musical aspirations: that kind of talk is a no no. When you start speaking like that you quite often get put in your place.
But that's probably just a coincidence, I don't think it was really a case of loose lips sinking over inflated buoyant egos... it had more to do with wandering hands I believe. Loose hands sink bands. (But then again I'm pretty sure lips were involved too)...Anyways...I still think we should have been called Urinary Tract Infection.
