His Dad rarely played it and after a year it sat in the corner of their living room collecting dust. One autumn Saturday morning Anthony thought he would give it a try. His dad tuned it and showed him a couple of chords. By the time the next weekend came around he was sure that he wanted to learn how to play. They were not a wealthy family so his dad bought him a simple chord book, there would be no lessons. He made up his mind he was going to practice at least one hour every night. He practiced every night for a month and soon found that he had no desire to learn other peoples songs. He started stringing chords together and humming melodies. Anthony had never attempted to write anything before, but one night he sat down and put lyrics to a chord run he had been playing over and over. He got up the nerve to sing it for his mom and that’s where things started for Anthony at age 13. Anthony has formed a couple of bands over the years, Wilderness, Robinson Vail and Graysville Skyview. Unfortunately they did not work out too well as most of the members wanted to do covers. Anthony did not want this, he wanted to write and play his own material. He recorded his first cd in 1996 called "An Eyeful Of Words". It wasn’t until 2001 that he picked up his guitar again and recorded "Beneath A Wounded Sky". Anthony has recently finished recording "Into The Night" , his 4th cd and is now working on his 5th called "All Lights On The Myth", which he hopes to release this Spring if all goes well. Anthony believes that perhaps music is the one common ground that we all can share. It makes no difference what type of music you like, its the love of music that its all about!
