For all those who have been calling and/or looking for John, this is Peyton and I am adding this message to John's MySpace on Friday, April 13, 2007. I appologize I have not known how to notify everyone by telephone.I have been John Kitt's friend for about 5 years and roommate for about 2-3 years. John died last night, April 12, while at our apartment in Reston, VA. We still do not know the exact cause of his death until his family obtains an autopsy report. He had been ill, particularly for the last 5-7 days. During the last 2 days, he said he was feeling better. In the hours immediately preceding his death he was quite happy because his aunt was coming to visit for the weekend. He was encouraging me to go to Florida for the weekend, saying she would keep him company in my absence, and that he was just fine. Then within about a 30 minute time frame of that conversation, I heard him yell something, I ran to his bed side, and found him near death. I immediately called 911, and he passed while I was holding him and lifting his head up before the ambulance arrival. His passing was very quick, and I do truly believe he was happy immediately preceding the death. He is buried in a small mountain side cemetary that is quiet and peaceful. He is buried directly beside his mother, which is exactly what he wanted.
