I am interested in a lot of things, and pretend to be good at some of them. Sometimes I even get away with it... When I'm bored I play the piano and bass guitar to a mediocre standard, but I am too busy to be bored most of the time. I can also make (unconventional) sounds from a recorder, cello and clarinet, although not all at the same time. I work as a picture frame maker, and study part time for an open university degree. I play in a band, enjoy cooking, walking, painting, photography, reading, writing, cycling, music and so on ad nauseum. As you can see, I have rather a low attention span, so need many interests to keep me occupied. I don't have enough time or patience to get really good at any one of them. Somewhere in there I have to find time to maintain some kind of social life, but I find it easier not to. When you have worked all day, come home to study and then practice music for couple of hours all you really want to do is sleep. However, I do find time to enjoy the occasional bevy or two.... There is only one person I can't do without, and he knows who he is.
