Biography:"Your Average Girl Next Door"...Born Shellie Donegan A.K.A Shellie Symone' is a star on the rise!!! She is a soprano/alto singer/song-writer, dancer, and stylist. Growing up around Chiacgo south sides specifically the Roseland area and Altged Gardens as people call it, WILD WILD 100'S of course it was hard. At a young age of 7 she discovered a love for music. That was her way of staying out of trouble. She grew up around a number of talented people but reality for them was just dreaming it. Her passion for music wouldn't let that harsh reality come to mind. So instead she went on to perform on stage for the first time at the age of 14 at Marquette elementary school, also becoming the lead soloits at her 8th grade graduation. Being at the time that's where she got her on stage experience, every other year she goes back to her grammar school in sing occassionally at graduations. While entering highschool her hunger for music only got more intense and rapid. That was her escape plan. Whether it be from hurt, pain, loaded school work she found a way. In high school she faced challanges maintaining on the Honor Roll for the IB program and pressure to join the school's choir. Instead of joining she just went on to put her thoughts on paper. She realized how great of a song-writer she was. She got into dancing also via: Lovely Ladies, Unfamilia 1,2, Immortal, and footwork clique A+ and "GS" (Goon Squad) were amongst some to name a few. While dancing she learned discipline, dedication and what hard work felt like. She grew up listening to the powerful sounds of Luther Vandross, Johnny Gill, Temptations, Whitney Houston, Glady's Knight and so on .. getting to this point she made it up in her mind that this is what she's here for. She recorded her first original song 'One Minute' at the age of 16 yrs. old With the help of her first music team "The Basicks", she started recording more personal original music. That experience taught her so much about the music industry. She has turn down quite a few music scouts, and local talent and model agencies, not because she didn't wanna become a singer/model but she just wanted everything to be perfect. Well her journey is beginning....Her style is sooooo versatile, you never know what to expect.
