Creating music for the masses and carrying a raw hunger for success, Derione Shepherd has instantly become the voice that the music industry has been waiting for. He aims to have his fans experience the impact of his songs through the tremendous vibes he projects through his production and strong lyrics.
Derione Shepherd was born on February 26.1987 in Cleveland Mississippi about 20 min from his home town of Winstonville, Mississippi. It was here that Derione discovered his love and talent for music. In 1989 at the young age of 3 years old Derione joined his grandmother's newly formed gospel group "The Winstonville Gospel Singers"and quickly became one of the groups lead singers. Over the course of the next 7 years the group became well know on Southern Gospel music circuit. Derione was even offered a record deal with a indi gospel label but his family felt he was to young at the time.
Derione stayed with the group on and off splitting his time between Mississippi and Houston, TX until the age of 10. It wasn't until he moved to Georgia that he started presuming his singing again. He took every advantage to improve his skills as a singer and performer. He became one of the lead singers and drummer of his church choir. He joined his school chorus choir.
Derione Shepherd is an artist that is unique, refreshing, and much needed. With his strong determination, profound lyrics, energized performance, passion, and amazing commercial appeal, Derione Shepherd plans to be a legend of his time.
