About Me

Class Project came to be when Knomad and j. Foxx met in the dorms @ the University of Arizona in mid-2002. The two began freestyling at every chance they could impressing small audiences with what was later coined their "dichotomy of sound". Foxx grew up listening to the likes of Snoop Doggy Dogg, Tha Dogg Pound, Rakim, and The Roots where as Knomad was primarily influenced by underground hip-hop groups such as the Living Legends, Aesop Rock, Atmosphere, BlackStar and even classic poetry. It is perhaps this difference of influence that brings about C.P.'s diversity of sound, flow, cadences and subject matter to the group. The two continue to push the boundaries of each other's creativity as a matter of artistic challenge. With genius beatmaker/crowd-pleaser Scotty Green doing the majority of their production, look for these cats to do big things in the very near future. Class Project's freshman effort, "The Rough Draft LP" will be released by Born 2morrow Recordings in mid-july of 2007. So look for that! For more info on how C.P. came to be, be sure to check out this link: http://www.pursuethepassion.com/interviews/2006/06/21/born-2 morrow-records/
