EVERY GREAT AND IMPORTANT ENDEAVOR requires leadership. The National Association to PROTECT Children is the dream and hard work of many people across the United States for many years. The power of change, becomes strengthened with numbers.
PROTECT
The National Association to PROTECT Children, is a political organization established in 2002 dedicated to the protection of children from abuse, exploitation and neglect. We are a nonprofit, 501(c)(4) membership association with members in every U.S. state and 10 nations. PROTECT is not the traditional child advocacy organization, we are able to fight for children the same way other serious lobbies fight for their interests. PROTECT advocates a nonpartisan "pro-child, anti-crime" agenda, working closely with both conservative and liberal constituencies and lawmakers to enact and uphold laws that benefit children.

PROTECT's "pro-child, anti-crime" agenda is:

1- Fight Crimes Against Children
PROTECT fights for protection, including: stronger prison sentences and end to legal loopholes that protect perpetrators instead of children.
2- Help and Support Victims
PROTECT fights for children, including: full access to medical and mental health services for victims; better legal advocacy in child abuse proceedings (the same protection given to criminal defendants) and child-friendly investigations and court proceedings.
3- Hold Public Servants Accountable
PROTECTS fights for accountability for child welfare systems, law enforcement, family courts, prosecutors and judges.
4- Keep Communities Safe
PROTECT fights for real safety, not gimmicks, including: lifetime parole supervision for sex offenders who are released into our communities and highly-trained surveillance and containment teams instead of simple GPS devices.

Congress passed the PROTECT Our Children Act.
It was a long, hard campaign… one that started with committed PROTECT members like you and then grew to over half a million Americans after it was featured on the Oprah Winfrey show. Many Washington insiders said we would never win.
As our campaign showed America, law enforcement now knows how to locate and stop hundreds of thousands of criminals who assault children and traffic in child pornography. But despite years of empty rhetoric from politicians, less than 2% of these cases are even being investigated. That begins to change, with the passage of the PROTECT Our Children Act.
–The Staff and Volunteers at PROTECT Thanks You.

Online child pornography/child exploitation is the most
significant crime problem confronting the FBI that
involves crimes against children.
Hundreds of thousands of children are victims of sexual abuse each year.
The PROTECT Our Children Act will:
Authorize $1 billion over the next five years in desperately needed funding for law enforcement to investigate child exploitation. Mandate that child rescue be a top priority for law enforcement receiving federal funding.
Allocate funds for high-tech computer software that can track down Internet predators.

REPORT CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION!!
Since PROTECT's campaign was featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show Monday September 15, nearly half a million Americans flooded Senate offices with phone calls and emails.
