Hello all. My name is Sinclair Davenport and Welcome to my Myspace. I put up some videos from a new show that I'm working on, House of Death. It's a great group of guys I'm working with. Right now we're just experimenting, trying to find the show's style. We're having a big meeting about it this week and hope to have a new and completely revised House of Death for you soon.
So, about me. Well, I was born June 16, 1972 in Wiltshire, England. I had moved around a lot as a child to many different countries with my father; thus, I never really developed an accent of my own.
My father was James Royce Durbin III and was a traveling salesman who left me and my mother in 1978. My mother, Samantha Tavingstone, ran a small theater company out of the local pub and as a young lad, I grew up in the company of many actors.
By the time I was 10 I must say, I became well versed in Shakespeare and had acted in over 70 Pub productions. Then an unfortunate horse and carriage accident claimed my mother's life in 1982. At the age of 10 with no one to look after me, I found myself wandering the countryside, doing odd jobs, and finally surviving as a hat check boy at a popular Brothel in London. There I was fed and taken care of by the local mistress Edith Salisbury who always wanted a son of her own. We became very close and very fond of each other. She was my first and introduced me to physical love at the age of 13.
The next few years I loved observing the customers as they greeted me upon their entrances and exits of the Brothel, but that flair for theatrics never parted with me. I left the Brothel at the age of 18 when Ms. Salisbury passed away from a drunken slip down the main staircase.
For the next few years I got one of the most important jobs in my life. I got an assistance job for a local magic show. The magician, "The great Chandel" was old and wise in the ways of the world and became the father figure I never truly had. Chandel's worldwide travel and knowledge of the Occult fascinated me to no end as I began to read volumes on death, the supernatural, and black magic. Chandel passed in 1993 when I was 21, but he's had such an impact on me personally that he is still alive today in my soul.
After that I started writing and starring in a one man show about all my life's experiences. That helped me pay the bills and get by for a few years. In this time, I fell in love with a beautiful women named Jane Leavesboro. She was the sweetest, most beautiful woman I've ever seen. She can stop my heart and fly it like a kite on a beautiful summer's day. As much as I felt love for her is as much as I hurt for a very long time after she died in a mysterious motorcycle accident in 1998. My life spun out out of control and I hit the wine heavy. I vanished from the public eye for a number of years, but all the while still continued to keep four of Jane's prize winning gardens throughout England and France in her honor. She used to design and keep gardens for parks and rich highbrow people. Keeping these gardens for her really gave me a new perspective on life. Being able to grow life from the ground up was pretty amazing for me, especially when it looked so beautiful.
In 2004 I re-surfaced clean and sober in Manhattan and wrote a few articles on Gardening for The New Yorker and for several notable Wine Magazines. In 2005 I opened my own winery in France. I have had much success with the wine and have been blessed to be able to afford the finer things I never had the luxury.I decided it was time to get back into acting so I moved to New York City. I was hoping for a shot on Broadway but as a lot of the shows were closing, I decided to move to South Jersey and write a fiction novel about the Jersey Devil. It was an obsession of The Great Chandel's and I, as a huge fan of the occult, have always been very interested in the creature.
I live a very secluded lifestyle in the Pine Barrens in New Jersey, keep my gardens and enjoying my wines.
As I was working on my novel, I got a random call from an Independent Film Company called Mindbreak Entertainment. Just when I thought everyone forgot about me, maybe my acting career is just beginning. I really like this idea of this House of Death show I am working on. I think it has great potential.
