Our Inns are situated on beautiful Esplanade Avenue, the original promenade of the 1800's, which runs from the Mississippi River to Bayou St. John and is lined with 100 year-old Spanish oak trees and 19th century mansions.We are situated at the crossroads of three historic districts. The Vieux Carre, or French Quarter, lies only a block and a half from our front door. The historical Treme district, the oldest African American neighborhood in the United States, and the birthplace of Jazz itself, is just around the corner! The third neighborhood we sit adjacent to is the Faubourg Marigny, originally a Creole neighborhood and a welcome respite from the bustle of the French Quarter. The main artery of the Marigny is Frenchmen Street, the strip with an astonishing number of live music clubs, covering the gamut from traditional jazz, modern jazz, Latin, Egyptian to swamp blues, reggae, funk R&B, and all on one night!These neighborhoods are where the locals, both musicians and music lovers, congregate, work, play and eat!
