-----------------------"sport is my anger management. Sport is cheaper than drink, cheaper than drugs, and a better high altogether, adrenaline is cheaper than cocaine. Sport takes me to a place where nothing else matters. Where nobody hassles me, nobody loves me and nobody hates me. A place between home and work. Not quite Rest, not quite recouperation. A place where I use my body for something it really needs. A place without deadlines, and the tick tock of life. Where final demand letters don't matter. Where mountains become molehills. Where it's not about competition or who's boss. A place with no gold medals or prize money, with no memory, no location. A place called me".--------------------------------------------------------

"In waiting for a wave, in sitting out there between sets, bad thoughts, obsessive thoughts, will surface, but while actually riding, while standing up and searching for that rhythm, no matter how awful the day I'm having, my mind is clean and clear and blank and therefore content. I have never, not ever, had a conscious thought, good, bad or indifferent, while in the act of riding a wave. Some days I really need that vacuum, that purity. "

I truely love this place, it relaxes me and makes me content.
