"Getting ahead in a difficult profession requires avid faith in yourself. That is why some people with mediocre talent, but with great inner drive, go much further than people with vastly superior talent.
"SL" (quoted by Kimberly Miller)
""Those who dream by night, in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that all was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, and make it possible."
T.E. Lawrence
(Lawrence of Arabia)
"In my mind, I've always been an A-list Hollywood superstar. Ya'll just didn't know it yet.
-Will Smith
"The only thing holding you back from acting is fear."
"You are a warrior, and you are not to turn your back on the battle field."
-Some woman on PBS
"You can't leave footprints in the sands of time if you're sitting on your butt. And who wants to leave buttprints in the sands of time?"-Shelley Parham
I stole this quote from my dear friend Mary Valentine: "Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond all measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be rich, smart, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be."
“Nobody grows old by merely living a number of years. People grow old by deserting their ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up interest wrinkles the soul."
-General Douglas MacArthur, at age seventy-eight.
"For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, or a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that this was my life. This perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way."
- Fr. Alfred D Souza

"As Mankind becomes more liberal, they will be more apt to allow that all those who conduct themselves as worthy members of the community are equally entitled to the protections of civil government. I hope ever to see America among the foremost nations of justice and liberality."
-George Washington
"Begin each day like it's on purpose."
I'm pretty cool. Yea. I love to talk and get to know people. I enjoy asking very personal questions. My mission in life is to do something significant... I don't want to die when I die...
"...it will happen."
-Bjork

My ambition in life is to learn how to be creative in deeper, more passionate ways. I believe that it's my purpose on Earth. Actually, I know it is. Dig deeper, feel more, think harder, and share it with the world. It's what I'm here for. I want to be around people who are the same way.
"The reward is in the journey."
People who are unhappy but choose not to do anything about it depress me. I'm also unimpressed with 20-somethings who think they're getting old. I'm excited about every age that I will reach. Life is too short as it is.
At the moment of commitment, the universe conspires to assist you. - Yenta
I am a proud brother of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia (OAS, AAS! LLS!). Very awesome. So, I'm a hot frat guy, right? That's right, it turns you on. We can discuss this further in person if you want...
I'm going to be a rich and famous Actor/Producer one day. A large number of people will be able to say, "Hey, I slept with him way back when!" Join the party, my friends. (Not really. Promise.)
--Things I believe:
Global Warming is a problem.
Getting paid well for bad acting is a problem.
Any decent-minded individual in this world is obligated to openly supporting equal rights for homosexuals. It's kind of like the struggle for rights for African-Americans- it takes support from outside the game. HOWEVER, the GLBT community needs to step up. Those who keep a low profile to ensure their own success owe it to their community to fight for what is right, even when it's hard.
Marijuana isn't worth the fight. The social and professional ramifications of its use far outweigh the fun part. The "Dude, you're getting a Dell" guy lost that gig when he got busted. Suck!
--Personal pet peeves:
People who use "This is still America." as a defense for their determination to replace "Happy Holidays" with "Merry Christmas".
The use of the word "fagot". As a discriminatory slur, as a personality type, and especially in reference to one's self.
People who think it's not cool to be proud of who you are and confident in yourself.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Actors, Musicians, Writers, Film Makers and other artists.

Most importantly, people who help me discover more about myself.

I believe that approaching relationships/dating with fear and excess reservation is foolish and disastrous. I already have too many people in my life that I play politics with. We already spend all day around people who will, willingly or not, suck a little bit of you away.

Not that I use MySpace as a dating portal (okay, maybe I wasn't willing to subscribe to Match.com), but just to put it out there:
If I'm going to be with someone, I need them to 1) have as many high-aimed ambitions as I do, 2) want me as much as I want them and 3) be able to stand up to me. Life isn't much more than the opportunity to live in a surreal dream that is actually the reality you aspire to. If you can't allow yourself to feel butterflies with relative freedom, you're not ready for what I'm looking for.

"The smile that you left me with
Is the same smile I've kept on wearing
The smile's not so much tied to you"
