When I got the call, I stood and made not a sound,

His name was Ryan Charles Jobes and he was my close friend,
Someone I thought would be there, until the very end.
He was coming home from college to visit his family and friends,
As he drove west on I-64 around the mountain bends.
God took him from this earth, after his nineteenth year,
When his Ford Contour struck, a tractor trailers rear.
Did he see it coming; did he realize that was it?
Or did he not have a clue, until the two vehicles hit?
I really miss him and in my heart hes near,
But why this all happened, will never be really clear.
I know hes up in heaven, happily running around the track,
