Spring of the year 2003 is the official time when the group “Detrimentum†was formed. There were some attempts to create a team with it’s full complement but they were not a success — the number of participants wasn’t stable. Never the less the main members of the group (vocal – Evgenij Skvorchevskij, bass-guitar – Dennis Bouglai) didn’t surrender and in the result by summer of 2003 a team named “Detrimentum†appeared. Speaking about the title of the group, it’s needed to say that any special sense wasn’t put in it. The main goal at that moment was to prepare material for the first demo-recording. The word “Detrimentum†is translated from the Latin as “loss†or “damageâ€. When the team of the group was finely formed (Evgenij Skvorchevskij - vocal, Nik Potapenko “Wij†– solo-guitar, Dennis Bouglai – bass-guitar, Valerij Putis – rhythm-guitar, Vsevolod Kalenda - drums), we started the rehearses. But as all the members of the group were very busy with their work and studies, it was very difficult to hold the rehearses regularly. That’s why before the recording of “Detrimentum†only ten rehearses were held, and all the members of the group were present at only one of them. In the result on the 6 of October 2003 “Detrimentum†started its first recording. It was made on two studios: “Mezzo-Forte†and “Sanych Studioâ€â€¦
