Harlot

About Me

Harlot, one of the premier 80’s rock 'n' roll party bands and a flyer fixture of the sunset strip formed in 1984 and started out playing backyard parties and beer halls. In 1985 they began to play the clubs of the exploding Los Angeles rock and roll scene. This included regular bookings at the Country Club in Reseda, as well as the clubs in Hollywood including the Roxy, the Troubadour, the Whiskey and Gazzari's, also playing shows in Orange county and San Diego. Harlot was featured on the KLOS local licks show as well as KNAC, and was known for catchy songs, colorful stage outfits and stage set-up, and wild after parties. Please check out our gig flyer photo albums as they will be updated to show all the bands we shared the stage with and the photos of all the Harlot members over the years. Harlot continued to play, record and party until they disbanded in 1990. Harlot has re-grouped and signed with Retrospect Records and will release our CD "Keep The Dream Alive" in June (the CD version Of Where There's Smoke (There's Fire) is now uploaded, song 1). We will be playing our first Los Angeles show in support of the CD on Friday June 19th at Paladinos in Tarzana, and are booked for the Rocklahoma Festival in July. Hope to see you out there soon.
