Lets see...well I'm a laypractioner of tibetan buddhism in the nyingma tradation, a mom, a daughter, a auntie, a friend, and a professor, an MRI tech, an x-ray tech.
I grew up in SoFla and relocated to Atlanta in 2007. Was never the type of person to wake up and say...let's go to the beach...but yes I do miss it.
I graduated from University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2005 from their On-line RT to BSRT Degree Completion Program. Never set foot on the campus until graduation day! Which was awesome, and so was the program. Gotta luv the internet! Presently, I am in Graduate School at Midwestern State University. I'm working on narrowing my focus to write my thesis and complete my 80 hour practicum, then I will be done. But, yes the Ph.D. will follow.
I am doing a lot of traveling right now, some for work and some for pleasure. It's really cool to see different parts of the country and meet people in different areas. Work has taken me to some places I never would have chosen to visit and I often find myself pleasantly surprised. As far as my career goes, things are very solid...the multiple roles I play in my field have reached a point where I can diversify myself and often work on a consulting basis. Which is really great...I go to work because I want to, not because I have to.
I distract myself from the daily grind with a few different creative outlets...
I love zipping around town in my Scion tC (my niece and I named her aquarius...for a couple of reasons, one she's a sexy car and needs a sexy name and two, well, you guessed it I am an aquarius.) and will begin phase I of modifications on her this fall. Sound, cold air induction, suspension, and I'll probably upgrade the breaks which will need to be redone soon. Phases II & III are still in planning stages...clutch & upgraded shifter are certain it is just a matter of when, supercharger and/or turbo are still up for discussion.
Dancing...I love dancing!!! I love to dance, and I love to watch people dance!!! My drug of choice is any kind of electronic dance music, which I consider to be modern day classical music. Instant energy, just add digital dance musik, and my body transforms the sound energy in to movement on the dance flo!!! That's what got me hooked on kickboxing, Bryer would play kickin' EDM. Anytime I thought I couldn't put out one more kick the music would blow up and I'd get an energy surge. Yeeeeaaaaaaaaaah! Kickboxing up here is not the same without Bryer!! Oh god, now I'm getting homesick...
