Cooking. I cant really do it that well, but im alwasy impressed when someone else can. Inventions. Again, never invented anything, but its on my list of things to do. Candy. I really like those complex sugars, especially sour things. The Outdoors. I've worked at two summer camps and have stories to last a lifetime from them. Grilled food, nuf said. Raw vegetables. Once you cook them they get mushy and gross. Other States. I've never lived in one, but I think I should like to try. Self Improvement. Once you become complacent, you might as well be dead. Abolishing unwanted mail. I hate having stacks of envelopes that I neither have or want to make time to read.
I'd probably like to meet my ancestors. Not to see if any of them are famous or anything, just to see if I am like them. When people say things like, "Oh you get that (insert character trait) from your great-grandmother," I wonder if that is actually something that can be transferred genetically (im skeptical). President Bush because I'd like to give him a hug. He really gets a lot of hassle from the general american public. New People because I'm completely convinced that I've met every conceivable category of person in this city, and thats relatively depressing. So if youve got some originality, bring the noise.
Ray Charles, Jack Johnson, Dispatch, Taking Back Sunday, Mates of State, Arctic Monkeys, The Postal Service, The Killers, Weezer, Journey, Eagles, Eels, Counting Crows. I listen to those things by choice. I also enjoy a lot of hip hop and country. Yes, I'm just like every other normal person, unusual.
I could write a book on all the movies I love and probably teach a class about the book (really love the dark ones like Snatch, Layer Cake, Brick, Lock Stock, Donnie Darko, Green Street Hooligans, etc.) Sometimes I have to watch a movie a few times to really pick up on everything. For instance... I had to watch the sixth sense a hundred and twelve times before I realized that "rosebud" was the kid's sled.
Lost, Family Guy, Heroes, and I'm a sucker for all the dating shows on MTV. Yes, its tacky, but at least I can admit my faults.
Not reading anything right now, always open to suggestions though.
Heroes is a great show on TV. Recognize, son.
