I am a real little baby, who was born with Down Syndrome, and my mommy and daddy are voting for Barack Obama!Not John McCain and Sarah Palin.Mrs. Palin, I know you are the mommy of a little boy with Downs, too, and so I have a question for you: How would your policies help little babies like me, and our families?My mommy says you cut the Alaska Special Olympics budget in half. If you did this in my state, I might not be able to compete when I grow up. This makes me cranky!But my mommy also says that Barack Obama has a plan to help little babies like me. e says Mr. Obama plans to fully fund the Americans with Disabilities Education Act, making it possible for smart little babies like me to grow up and go to a regular school, just like my brothers and sister. I like your plan, Mr. Obama. And thanks for supporting early intervention, voc rehab, and the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act. This will help a lot!! And since I hope to go to college, thanks for promising to improve college opportunities for high school grads with disabilities. My mommy will be so happy!My mommy knows that raising a child with Down Syndrome, or any disability, is a hard and rewarding road. She knows how important universal healthcare is! She knows how important access to education is, how important good affordable daycare is. She knows how important it is to make our economy stronger, because my mommy will have to save for my future, too.I guess she thinks I'm pretty cute, because she seems pretty happy to do all this! But she is worried about my future, so she hopes others will join her to press the candidates on their policies and elect the person most likely to ensure me a bright future!
