TheWigsville Spliffs were formed late 70s and eventually split in about 1987 only doing a few shows between then and now with varying line ups and three different drummers.In the 80s the Spliffs were seen regularly playing at the legendary Klub Foot in London with bands such as...TheGuanaBatz, Restless,Frenzy,DAG,Batmobile and the legendaryRay Campi to name but a few. Also many appearances in the capital at such venues as the 100 club and Dingwalls. tracks from the band can be found on a number of compilation albums and dvds and the bands own album on Raucous records . 30th of August saw the band reform in the original line up to play at the Bedlam Breakout in northampton in a one off show. together with Paul Richadson on drums the band are currently busy writing new material and will be hitting the road again with a slightly heavier harder sound than that of the 80s.Bookings for the Satanic Stomp in Germany in April and gigs in spain ,ireland,uk and usa all in pipeline to be confirmed, it looks as if the band will be pretty busy in 2009. Look out for a new album in the new year and look out for the spliffs at a venue near you
