I have a bit of an obsession about Japan - everything from J-Pop to martial arts to green tea flavoured kit kats and maccha frappuccinos! Wasabi's pretty good too... and the word 'kawaii', which means 'cute' - love it! (see here for photos!).
The yummiest thing ever, green tea frappuccino:
I also practice tai chi ( old Yang Lu Chan long form ) and have a go at khai bo (although a LOT of practice is needed there!)...
Writing is my main 'thing' though - I scribble all the time (I'm the girl tucked away on the tube scribbling away in a little purple notebook...) - hoping to make a career of it when I have enough words...
Interesting people with something to say for themselves. Poets, writers, artists... creative people. I'd also like to meet Japanese people and/or people with an interest in Japanese culture.
A word about my 'top' friends... I have quite a few friends on myspace now, some really good mates, some bands that I like, all sorts of people. I try to move my 'top' friends around quite a lot, so don't get offended if you're there one minute, and then you're not. I like to give everyone a go! ;)
Currently: Bowie, J-Rock ( Guitar Vader ), J-Pop ( Ai Otsuka & Kat-Tun ), Imogen Heap , Jean , Madonna , Jamie Cullum (speshly his version of 'High & Dry'), jazz (Charlie Parker is the man!), Adam Freeland (We want your soul!), 80s music (but don't tell anyone!), Gwen Stefani , Robbie Williams , the Dirty Dancing soundtrack, The Smiths, Barenaked Ladies , Weird Al ... and whatever they happen to be playing on Capital ...
The best movie of all time...
That would be that thing I watch DVDs on then... don't really watch much to be honest. The odd comedy show... The Mighty Boosh!
Used to watch Black Books and Spaced too, but they're not on any more. Other stuff I like that isn't on now: Buffy, Angel, Star Trek NG and DS9 (Odo!!). Telly's just not what it used to be!
Ooh... but there is Happy Tree Friends...
And Friends!! Classic! :)
...more than I will ever read in a lifetime. I have a bit of a habit of buying them and storing them up and not realising that I don't have time to read them all! Currently reading a lot of books by Japanese authors (in English - I'm not that clever yet!) and books about Japan like Memoirs of a Geisha. Also into sci-fi, fantasy, and good old chick lit! Douglas Coupland, George Orwell, Yevgeny Zamyatin (am I the only person who has read 'We'??), Aldous Huxley, Oscar Wilde, Selima Hill...
