They are Sin Suerte.
They have known each other since high school. They had each other for Geometry and both of them have always been a little wacky and a little different from most other girls. Mayra always got kicked out of Geometry and Erica always mentioned how much she herself needed to see a Psychologist. Who would have thought that 6 years later these girls would be starting a Dia De Los Muertos and Mexican Folk Art local business.
It should always be kept local.
Recently they've decided to try to stop going to Wal-Mart and stick to M-Rivas, Globo and Juniors Market but it's very hard because you'll see them at Wal-Mart at the most weirdest of times (like at 3 am if they forgot to buy more glue sticks) so don't snicker at them if you see them shopping at Wal-Mart, I'm sure you still shop there. These muchachas are roomates and have equally had their share of adversity and have overcome them with lots of concerts, booze, late night drives, chismes, food!, amigos, new found strangers, and other unmentionables.
Moreover, these comadres love Halloween and love Fajitas, both of these combined (along with some good Johnny Cash tunes)made what Sin Suerte is today, one kick ass and different Mexican hootnanny.
So if you see them at Wal-Mart at 3 am say hello and offer them a hand at their craft work and in return Erica will bake you a tasty cake (because she plans on being a pastry chef) and Mayra will whip up a mean mixed drink!
In the words of Walter Mercado
