I am a Christain/Soft Rock Song Writer and Author

About Me

I was born in Patchougue, New York on Long Island. Unfortunatley I was forced to drop out of Junior High School during the ninth year because I had to help my single mom raise my baby brother. I married in 1976 to an abusive alcoholic, which led to a speedy divorce only 2 years later. The only good that came from that marriage was my beautiful baby boy, Robert. My second marriage, however, last a bit longer but ended in a difficult divorce. However I was blessed with a little girl, Melinda. I worked very hard as an overnight stocker and truck unloader for many years so I could be home with my two children during the day, when I felt that's when they needed me most. I raised them practically all on my own. My husband, at the time, was more absent then present. This was only the beginning of my life as a hard-working manual laborer. At the age of 26, I taught myself how to drive and received my license shortly after. Futhermore, I never returned to school to advance in my education. Raising my children was my top priority. I wanted to be there for them every step of the way. They knew that there was never any barrier that could come between them and myself. After surviving through all the hardships during my life,I finally realized that struggling so hard and for so many years and without getting anywhere was not for me. I wanted more for my children and me. For this reason, I decided to stop fighting my unique character and just follow my own instincts. God has truley blessed me with the gift of writing. After long hard work, hours, loyaltly and patience in the year 2000 my son and I opened a landscaping company together. I was literally out there in 100 degree plus temperatured pushing mowers. With the high heat and humidity in Houston, it is an extremely rare site to see any woman out in the heat doing this kind of work and on a daily basis. I now had plenty of time to write. What convienced me to finally stay at home was when I chose to help my duaghter and watch my granddaughter on a daily basis, so she could pursue her education in becoming an EMS/Paramedic. And that was when I realized that I was rewarded as well as blessed with having the time, gift and ability to proceed in my own talented and destined faith for writing. I too felt that I was blessed once again. Each mountain was well worth the climb, because if it weren't for those mountains I honestly don't think that I would have had the strength or courage to be where I am right now....I thank the Lord everyday....and for who I am today. If you would like to purchase the songs above here is how:Call 323-469-3366 for the following Albums:America - ACD-419 - "Fast Pace" & "Taking Everything"Heaven Is My Home - HIH-108 "My Best Friend" & "Each Time You Pray"Land I Love - LLC-117 - "Devastating Hurricane"

Influences: I have always loved to write. Years ago I wrote my autobiography. There were tons of misspelled words on just about every page. I sent it out to several different publishing companies, but was kindly rejected by every one of them. I was very discouraged and therefore gave up writing for many years, but recently picked it back up again. I feel it was inevitable for me to be a writer. Being discouraged for so many years than picking it back up again was my calling. Or shall I say, destiny? Since January of 2005, not only have I written and published two books, but I also accumulated well over sixty songs, 5 which are under contract right now. Upon completion of my first book, "Why Me?" which is about a young boy who suffered horrible abuse from his stepfather, my first contract for my song, "Taking Everything" was signed. The lyrics to "Taking Everything" came to me after I heard about the devastating Tsumani in Indonesia. Shortly thereafter, I signed an additional contract on another song which came to me after the realization of our societies fast pace. As a result came the name of the song. "Face Pace". Throughout the writing of my second book titled, "The Secrets We Keep", which is about a woman who seeks revenge on abusive men, two more of my songs were chosen and I signed contracts on them both. This third song of mine, "My Best Friend", explains the story of a boy who tragically lost his life as a result of a brutal murder. My fourth song, "Each Time You Pray", came to me from the Lord and through this song it explains that each time someone prays to him, He not only listens to you, but it makes him stronger in the process. Currently I am working on the sequel to "The Secrets We Keep" which is called, "Revealed Secrets". After the unfortunate hurricane Katrina, which slammed into the coast of Louisiana, temporarily wiping out New Orleans, I signed my fifth contract for the song, "Devastating Hurricane".
