KUSH is a film to define a generation. This is the story rich white America doesn't want you to see. Educated, charming children from affluent neighborhoods gone wrong. Why do these kids, who should be on a road to success, make choices that destroy their lives? The San Fernando Valley is lined with sheltered little enclaves of families of privilege. Guard Gates, private security patrols, and exclusive school districts create a sense of belief that the American Dream is soundly nestled in the carefree dreams and lives of these kids. But is that really the true story? Does a great job and plenty of things money can buy mean that these materially successful adults necessarily make qualified parents? Not necessarily. KUSH shows what really goes on behind closed doors in the upper echelon. Parents who dont put the time in to properly raise their children find out the hard way that it is the example that counts. Drugs, risky sex, money, and ultimately murder come to play in this modern day tale of growing up on the "good" side of town.
