Who is David Serrano? Where do I begin? Ok, well I was born in Long Island, New York on April 7, 1977 and I knew from a young age that I wanted to be heard. I wanted to make a difference and leave my mark on the world, preferably in a positive way. I didn't know, however, that I would do it through music. I didn't even know that I liked to sing until I was about eleven. But, eventually, I came to realize that music would be my vehicle, and my lyrics would be my fuel. When I was a teenager my parents moved us to Orlando where I spent the next eleven years of my life. While in Orlando, I made some progress of fulfilling my goal of being in the music industry. I received a degree in Music Production and got the opportunity to work with several industry professionals such as Donna Wright of Wright Entertainment Group, the agency behind the Backstreet Boys, N’sync, and Britney Spears. I performed at Hard Rock Live Orlando in a Diva Records showcase and worked with producers writing for other pop and R&B artists. On my down time, I was working at various dance clubs in Orlando and had grown to love vocal house music. During this period, I met a guy named Andy Warren. He was a very talented young producer that had interned with the famed artist/producer BT. Together we began to work on the music that truly inspires the both of us, dance music. With his background in Trance and my love for house, we created a new sound that we were both very excited about. The two of us collaborated for about two years on and off, but toward the end it seemed more off then on. Time went by and then one day I found myself in a very respectable "adult job" working for a marketing firm, but I wasn't happy. I then realized that I wasn't happy because it wasn't music and I wouldn't be happy unless I was working in the industry. It was then, I realized I would rather be poor and happy then settle for an adult job and be miserable everyday. So last June I decided to get serious about my music and I completely threw myself into pursuing my musical career. I dropped everything, moved to NYC and sold my beautiful brand new car. I didn't have a job, just a dream and a lot of determination. I didn't want to ask what if? I took a chance and I made the right decision. Just two months after moving to New York, I had a contract with Junior Vasquez. I hadn't even found my own apartment but I had a contract. It was then that I knew that I could make it in the industry that eluded most that had pursued it. I vowed that no matter what happened with my first single that I would stick with it and stay the course learning and growing each step of the journey. I invite you to join me on my journey because I guarantee that it will be a crazy ride. I look forward to all the ups and even the downs, but with your support there will be a lot more hits then misses. Thanks for taking the time to learn a little bit about myself. Feel free to email me or comment on my page and share something about yourself. I look forward to hearing from you.
