With a line of influences such as famed rock & roller Axl Rose, edgy Miranda Lambert, & sweet yet sultry Sara Evans, Dusty is an up & coming artist worth tuning into.Born and raised in Riverside California, a town centrally located in Southern California. Diagnosed with Systemic Lupus just before age 2. Dusty grew up listening to and learning from the simple whole-hearted voice of her mother, Rosa, and to recordings of 1940’s gospel music harmonized by her grandparents Santiago & Micaela Zavala.At age 9 Dusty watched Faith Hill’s “Let’s Go to Vegas†music video on CMT for the very first time. The pop-country sound immediately embedded itself into the heart of a young wild eyed girl…and she hasn’t detached herself since. Country music officially became Dusty’s core after digging deeper into the genre, after hours and hours of listening to Garth Brook’s and Martina McBride tunes. She wasn’t just fond of what was current, she also became an admirer of Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Pasty Cline.After years lacking guidance, Dusty finally landed the gig of a lifetime. Invited to perform at the 2009 Wagon Wheel Festival in Lake Elsinore, Dusty presently is represented by Davidson Curran Artist Management.The potential of Dusty’s fresh lyrics and voice are undeniable. At age 26, her passion for country music has stemmed to bluegrass, traditional, Americana, and southern rock. Now a mother of a 6 year old girl, she plans to achieve her goal of landing a major recording deal and handing down an insane love for singing and songwriting.
