About Me
There once was a very successful business man from Cleveland, Ohio. Except for a divorce after 21 yrs. of marriage, all of his dreams seemed to be coming true. He had sold his corporation of 12 retail stores which he had built over a 30 year period and bought his first sailboat. He had always dreamed of retiring on a sailboat and sailing off into the sunset with that special someone. He began enjoying life to its fullest: He bought a Harley, became a ballroom dancer, played tennis & golf, sailed, traveled, and spent quality time with his many friends. After 2 summers of sailing around Lake Erie he departed for Florida and the Bahamas. It was at this time when he fell in love with someone he had always adored but had been unavailable. She had recently called off an engagement and flew to the Bahamas to vacation with him on his boat.Needless to say, he fell head over heels for her. It was a feeling he had never experienced in his life. They both returned to Cleveland and continued dating. To make a long story short, she began to question his purpose in life. As president of his own corporation, no one had ever questioned his purpose. Why now, when his purpose was to just enjoy life and its many benefits and to be dedicated to the love of his life? When it was mentioned to his friends that he was a great guy but didn't seem to have a purpose, that was the end. She finally broke up with him and he was devastated. His friends felt that if he had no purpose that they must also have no purpose and suggested that they form a group of people who seemingly had no purpose and this is how the NO PURPOSE GROUP originated. We have dedicated this site to Coleen, whom we have made an honorary member.
