MySpace LayoutsMountains of Boutros is the 'nom de knob' of writer/producer/arranger Jim Hanner. Having played in bands since for ever he can remember and always having an interest in how the sound got there, Jim decided to have a go at fiddling with other people's music. Pretty soon, the airwaves of London alternative radio station Xfm were alive with some off-the-wall mashups, which sadly cannot be made available here. The Mountains of Boutros 'On The Beach' mix of the Dub Pistols' 'Official Chemical' was loved by the band and made it onto the B side of the CD single on Distinctive Records in the UK.When not writing, playing, recording or listening to music, Jim usually wishes he was.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: You must be f***in joking!
Influences: Everything is an influence. From surfing the web to see a couple of words that spark a lyric, or just a nasty earworm that won't go away, it all affects Jim's output. Even other people's music. Jim has never tried to sound like anyone else*, but influences can probably be heard. Some music may have been used as a positive influence, other music used as a 'don't go there' warning. Does that make sense? Ask me about it. Or don't.*This is a lie. On the Dub Pistols mix he tried to sound like the Beach Boys.
Type of Label: Major
