Music:

90.3 air1, praise songs, rock, rap, hip-hop, easy listening, soft rock, pop music, khmer music, canto/mand pop, k-pop, a little bit of country/latino/folk/music of the andes/classical/jazz. i guess anything EXCEPT techno. i LOVE minor songs. in non-musical terms, i LOVE sad songs. the more depressing, the better.i also love good live music such as the following. it's beautiful how the song builds up. don't underestimate the power of a piano.

Movies:

i watch mostly anything EXCEPT horror and sci fi. since i don't have much time to hit the theaters anymore, i prefer watching movies that really make me think.blood diamond was one of the few movies that was well worth my 10 bucks. leonardo dicaprio? nah. diamonds, civil war, africa, child soldiers, smugglers, and journalists? definitely.if you have 55 minutes to spare, please please watch the whole video of invisible children. oh c'mon, if you watch an hour of american idol or scrubs, this video means so much more.

Invisible Children

In the spring of 2003, three young Americans traveled to Africa in search of such as story. What they found was a tragedy that disgusted and inspired them. A story where children are weapons and children are the victims. The "Invisible Children: rough cut" film exposes the effects of a 20 year-long war on the children of Northern Uganda. These children live in fear of abduction by rebel soldiers, and are being forced to fight as a part of violent army. This wonderfully reckless documentary is fast paced, with an MTV beat, and is something truly unique. To see Africa through young eyes is humorous and heart breaking, quick and informative - all in the very same breath. See this film, you will be forever changed.
