Linda&Bill

I was born in the foothills of Kentucky on the Cumberland River or as we say the holler, to wonderful parents Chester and Ruth Garner. I had one sibling Red who I call brother. We always say we were poor but we never knew it because every one else around us was poor also. Growing up we always had plenty to eat and clothes to wear. Maybe not as beautiful as BS (some of you that read this will know what I am talking about) but we got by. Mother always tried to see that we got to go and do as the other kids did in our home town of Burkesville, Ky. As most everyone does when they are young I made all the wrong choices (with men) but God never took his hand off of me and now I can say with out a doubt that I am a very blessed woman. I have two wonderful children Sandra and Todd and I finally got it right when I met my Bill and married him in 1983. He brought into the family four wonderful children, Nancy, Wayne, Steve, and Darrell. Having all of these kids is great because that gives us plenty of grands (14) and great grands (16). We are retired and of course we live in Florida, where else. We love our time walking on the beach at sunset, listening to good music (gospel and the blues) and spending time with our friends. With out family and friends we would be nothing. We are very involved in our church as that is part of our family. So you see I can say that I am a very blessed woman.
