Sem Duvida

Hello everybody, I hope you have had the opportunity to come out to one of our gigs to check us out. If you were familiar with Sem Duvida in the past, you are in for a pleasant surprise. We have restructured our band and added a few new elements.
You will still recognize Mario Silva on lead guitar, he is a familiar face. He has been playing in Portuguese Bands for too many years to mention. He started out with Terceirences, then moved on to Luso America and Illusions. Mario is one of the founding members of Sem Duvida.
You will also recognize Joe Rocha on Drums. Joe has been around as long as Mario. They both started out with Terceirences. Joe also played with Luso America, then played with Progresso. Joe is also a founding member of Sem Duvida.
Another familiar face is Frank Rocha on Keyboard/Guitar/Bass, no relation to Joe Rocha. Frank also has years of experience in Portuguese Bands. He is very versatilel as he can fill any spot needed. Frank was an original member of The Islanders and The Rocha Brother's band. He also played for Sunrise and other American Bands.
Now for the new faces. First off we have George DeMelo on Bass. George has been playing with Sem Duvida for a few years now. George originally started out playing with Kultura.
On Lead Vocal we have Manny Fontes. He started playing with Sem Duvida at the end of 2006. He was one of the founding members of Kultura.
Our horn section consists of a Trumpet player, Johnny Linhares; and a Tenor Sax player, Danny Fontes. Their prior experience is playing with the Azores Band of Escalon.
On Percussion we have our youngest member, Joseph Rocha. He is just starting out but he has the musical beats of his father Joe Rocha.
We play a wide variety of live music, consisting of Portuguese, Brazilian, and American. We play at all Portuguese events from Festas de Espirito Santo, Presentations, Weddings, Crab Feeds, Steak and Oyster dinners, Thank you dinners, etc. If you are having a celebration and you need entertainment, we are the band for you. Check us out at one of our gigs. You won't be disappointed.

We are all involved in this band to keep our Portuguese tradition alive. We grew up going to Portuguese dances. We met our wives at Portuguese dances. We want to keep our culture going so our kids can enjoy dancing like we did. That is what life is all about. Besides what else do Portuguese people do on weekends besides go to a festa to be amongst friends.
