American Gothic formed in fall of 2003 in Winston-Salem, NC. Bassist Jason Moss contacted guitarist Phil Vogler and presented the idea of doing some jamming, with addition of drummer John Spencer the ball was set to roll for songs, band formation and the occasional alcoholic beverage. By the winter of 2004 American Gothic was playing to crowds around the triad area; building a reputation of one of the most intense live acts in the tri-state area. with a solid 4-song demo, that stands as one of the best underground NC metal offerings in the last decade.
