I was born and raised in Hobart, WA in a single-wide on a 20-acre plot of land with no road or neighbors in sight. Lots of running around in the woods and making forts and scaring girls as a kid. Now I'm living in Seattle in a bigger house on a MUCH smaller piece of land and girls just laugh at me now. Go figure.
I spent four years at UW and got a degree in Political Science at the end of it all. Gotta say I've been a diehard Husky from the very beginning. Now I'm in a re-evaluation stage (not the Husky part). I'm a country boy at heart and I like being outside and building things. So right now I'm a foreman with a fence company in Lynnwood and saving up money to go back to school, maybe Construction Management or Architectural Design. But let's get away from the 'how poor Adam wished he'd done it all differently' emo shit.
I do a lot of things when I'm not 9-5'ing it. Whatever it is, it's probably outdoors and involves bonfires, trucks, footballs, beers, two wheels, explosives, snow, those sorts of things. Oh yeah, good friends too. Probably the best in the world. During Sonics season, you'll find me on the court doing jumps and flips and other kill-yourself shit off trampolines with the Dunking Ushers. That's a pretty sweet gig, and it'd be a real shame not to be able to do it next season...
This is the part where I share my well-earned wisdom with you. So remember these things; Never leave a fallen soldier behind (can, bottle, best friend, whatever). Go after your dreams, but if it doesn't happen right away, don't give up and pack it in. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be. Wear a helmet and don't piss upwind. And most importantly, do what you want. Say what you want. Be what you want. It is you he/she wants to be with, not the person you're trying to be.
