The Luge Sessions is a musical collaboration of song writing and studio manipulation and mastery between Orville 'Wyz' Malcolm and Jeffery A. Holdip a.k.a. Bobby O'Luge. This project started as a dare by Odel Johnson and has panned out to be a very rewarding experience. The first release "Hard End" was nominated for a Juno award in 2000.
Wyz and Luge first met while working for one of Canada's premier Reggae acts, Messenjah. When the band stopped working, Wyz and the Bass player, Charles Sinclair opened Kornerstone in 2003, creating an even closer musical bond between Luge and Wyz.
Wyz has an extensive song writing and producing career in the Reggae, Soul, and Gospel genres. Luge has been a FOH Sound Engineer for over 27 years. Outside of Reggae and SKA productions, Luge has recently produced the latest CD release "Accao Reaccao" for Portuguese pop stars Santos & Pecadores.
The relationship between Wyz and Luge has now created the next Luge sessions release "Movements". To help create the work, Wyz and Luge called upon the best musicians they know from various genres to produce a very unique sound, highlighting the individuality of each contributor resulting in a very special brand of...DUB.
Outside the existence of the studio both Wyz and Luge are busy in the live music field. Wyz is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who performs with a myriad of artists. Luge is currently touring with Nelly Furtado as her FOH, a position he has held for 8 years./style
