The beautiful thing about a black and white picture is that all of its vulnerabilities are exposed. The dark shades. The light tints. The gray areas that fall somewhere inbetween. You can't help but appreciate the brilliance created by such contrasting concepts. Colors are like the earth's rose-colored glasses, giving a seeming pleasantness to an otherwise black and white world. Inevitably, glasses break. And colors fade. But there is beauty to be met in the darkness.
