About Me

    Have just finished my masters and trying to plan the next stage. I really want to do a PhD eventually, I would love to do novel research and teach (+somone once told me I couldn't) but the field is cometative. I need some experience to give me the edgeI have just started a job with Gardline Environmental. It looks like its going to be pretty interesting. I spend at least 1/3 of each year at sea all over the world and get to use cameras, grabs and maybe even robots to look at the critters of the deep. Its hard work but full or adventure. I think it will create a tougher and more traveled meEarlier this year I tought marine biology at the New York Aquarium. Such a great experience and the whole trip really changed me. Some of the memories that will stick with me my whole life were formed thereI'm told I'm a good guy, trustworthy and good to hang out with. I have a way too strict moral code and dont seem able to be bad even if I try, frustraits me at times but means my mates know they can rely on me, I'm usually the agony uncle. This doesn't mean I'm a prude though, I just wont mess you about.This year and this time in New York has already changed me. I dont know what the end result will be but I hope I end up a good person. Maybe a little stronger and more self confident, having lots of crazy adventures so maybe more interesting too.I'm told my sence of humiour is a little odd. If left with the wrong crowd I can soon generate a healthy awkward silence. But hay, what do these people know! Its usually 50/50 weather I get a laugh or "What?! Oh my God!"I'm dyslexic so some of the spelling on this page will be bad.......deal with it

    Love SCUBA diving in my spare time, its like swimming in my job! Got my own kit and trained to BSAC Sports Diver with O2 training. Wanna go somewhere warm tho!Bit of a gym junkie.
