about Twinflower Band

Twinflowerband is not that kind of band, what we expect when we think of Sweden.
They’re not even a Band but a Duo, that does the loveliest folkrock and Indicountry that the world has ever seen. We really really love the music which was created by Linnéa Dixgård and Mikael Hansson one night last summer in an tiny red house in the idyllic landskape of Darlanas Län, Sweden.
With a little help of a guitar and the dreamy atmopsphere some sweet songs were born and then proudly presented to friends and family. Amongst them was Björn Dixgård, known as singer/guitarist of Mando Diao.
Together with him, CJ Fogelklou (also Mando Diao) and Patso playing the bass and drums-part the songs you can listen to on myspace were record in a studio. You can see photos of the recordingsessions here.
The songs are produced pretty well but did not lose the characteristic seaside-feeling.
Twinflower Band say about their songs that they all are different but all contain a clear melody, what is very important to them. “It’s all about catching emotion with the songs. We don’t plan what we want to express with them. It just comes with the writing .”
The new recordings run since spring and soon we can listen to a complete album full of these beautiful songs that Twinflower Band call their own.
After that, there may be a tour through sweden or maybe Europe or the rest of the world. “We will follow the songs wherever they will lead us to…”

If you were looking for dreamy and beautiful songs with a great voice and piano and wonderful melodys I think you found it right here. We, Katie and Bianca from Germany thought Twinflowerband needed a support to tell the world about them.
