FTC Productions originated as a group TAFE project for a Music Business class in Brisbane's CBD. The group's project was to release a Brisbane-based hip-hop compilation on a small scale. The group completed this task with flying colours in a timeframe of just under 3 months. The compilation was named 'Beyond 4000', referring to Brisbane's postcodes, and included artists that are still rocking today such as Indigenous Intrudaz, Unda Dwella, XXI, MCRotheee, EMR, Downpat, and several more.
After the crew left TAFE (all passing), the numbers were shortened to a more tight-knit and more determined crew that went on to start Brisbane's first-ever acapella or street MC battles, known as the Megiddo Battles.
These battles gave up-and-coming and more-established emcees the chance to get themselves some publicity whilst getting a piece of the action at the same time. Video footage was taken, edited, and posted on the net for all to see, and before long there was enough of a buzz to call Megiddo "Brisbane's 'staple' MC Battle". Previous Megiddo champions include Dragonfly, Pi-Emce3 and Alexander the Commander.
The Megiddo Battles gave FTC Productions the platform and momentum needed to promote and run some shows. These included the Megiddo Viewing Party, a battle night in which the Brisbane scene also got to watch previous battles on bigscreen. FTC promoted another show, which, in the promotion process, sadly became the DJ Bribe Tribute Show. This, however, was a fantastic night with a warm vibe that was enjoyed by all.

FTC Productions are currently forging ahead with the Megiddo Street Battles, and will most likely work on the national release of 'Beyond 4000 Vol.2'.
