The Mango Twist

About Me

One thing lead to another and now we're on myspace...
Basically, Mike (guitar/vocals) and Greg (lead guitar) have been the best of buddies for quite sometime. Over the years they've jammed in different bands together and have gotten on the same page musically. Always looking to spice up his life, Ian picked up the bass 5 years ago in a what the hell attitude, and even though he just recently replaced the original strings hes got some chops. Seeing as how Ian and Mike live across the street from one another, they were bound to meet one day (the member that doesnt know the whole story is writing this) and of course they did. The three lads embarked on the project, now a band "The Mango Twist" last June. Ex-coworkers Gregg and Mike went to see a Sound Tribe Sector 9 show together where Greggs desire of playing drums surfaced. In need of a good reliable drummer, the three members of the twist gave Gregg the oppurtunity to pickup the drums for them and learn as he went. Thats how The Mango Twist has come together, and now for the future...
As stated in the blogs, we're getting amped up to record some of our orignals for a demo, as well as playing out. If you have any opening slots or any open mic nights/battle of the bands that you know of, let us know by dropping a message. Help us out by informing your friends, we will have music on this page soon enough. Until then, rock on.
