I am an emo girl at heart : Bright Eyes, The Secret Handshake, Damien Rice, Pete Yorn, Powderfinger, Snow Patrol, Modest Mouse, and.. yes, I'm going to admit it.. Dashboard Confessional. However, the obscure Christian rock scene is awesome as well. Project 86, mewithoutYou, Norma Jean, Demonhunter, Dead Poetic, Further Seems Forever, Showbread, Skillet, Underoath, Zao, Anberlin, Spoken, Brave Saint Saturn, Living Sacrifice, or just about anything on Tooth and Nail or Solid State Records. Also old punk and gothic bands, the Sex Pistols, the Bauhaus, the Ramones, the Clash. Obscure bands that my dad (great music taste) recommends to me : Echo and the Bunnymen, Emiliana Torrini, the Fiery Furnaces, Franz Ferdinand, Men Without Hats, the Reindeer Section, the Ravonettes, the Sounds, Sahara Hotnights, the Shins, the Sights, and Son Ambulance. I like some rap artists, actually. Just about the only thing I dislike is country, and R&B.
I don't watch too many movies, but when I do, I like movies that make me cry (which is just about everything). My favorites are Hildalgo, A Walk to Remember, and Fantasia. I bet I'd like old movies, but I don't watch too many of them.
Don't watch much TV. I used to watch Everwood (great show); depressed me pretty bad though, so I don't watch it anymore. I'm addicted to the Simpsons : ).
Books, books, books! I love almost all books : ). I love classical literature, Paradise Lost and The Age of Innocence. Les Miserables and the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Anna Karenina and Crime and Punishment. I love fantasy too, though; anything by Terry Brooks, George R.R. Martin, Tolkien and Philip Pullman. I even love Anne Rice (please don't hurt me).
My heroes.. mostly all the people I'd like to meet. Anyone who can write well, in the end. Books or lyrics, they're all awesome.
