I'm a nerd I like to read and write poetry. I also like to dance play basketball and I want to learn how to box and do capoeira.
I'd like to meet:
GOD, and my CLONE. I would also like to meet Martin Luther King Jr and Josephine Baker. Anybody who just cool as hell and don't pass judgment on people for shit that don't even concern them. Somebody who honest and openminded like me whether they be male or female. SO MAKE IT DO WHAT IT DO BABY.
Music:
I like all kinds of music except for heavy metal and country. People are suprised to find out that a sistah from the south listens to Alanis Morisette, Blink 182, Staind, Nickelback, Simple Plan,Creed, and The Carpenters. I mostly like R&B though Floetry, Bobby Valentino, Omarion, Marques Houston,Keyshia Cole, Sade and Robin Thicke I like the oldies too, Anita Baker, Karyn White, The Temptations, The O'Jays,Brook Benton, Otis Redding, Al Green, Earth Wind & Fire, Rose Royce, Lenny Williams, Bootsy Collins. As far as Hip Hop I listen to all ATL people TI being number one, Baby D, Trillville, Crime Mob, Dem Franchize Boys, D4L, K-Rab, Pastor Troy and Yola the Great. Bone Thugs in Harmony is my favorite group of all time but I really like Field Mob too. Juelz Santana, Snoop, Keek Da Sneak, E-40, Kanye West. I like Jazz also Billie Holiday, Lena Horne, Miles Davis, Kenny G
Movies:
Somewhere In Time is my favorite movie but I like Grease 1&2, Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory, Imitation of Life, Love Story, The Way We Were,Memoirs of a Geisha, Eight Mile, Get Rich or Die Tryin, Running Scared, ATL, The Brothers, Brown Sugar, Love & Basketball, The Wood, Roll Bounce, You Got Served. I watch cartoons too Madagascar is my favorite cartoon movie, but I like Cinderella and Spongebob The Movie. Comedies I like all Tyler Perry plays and movies, all Jim Carrey movies and Kings and Queens of Comedy.
Television:
I watch BET, MTV, Disney Channel, my favorite show is The Boondocks, I like The OC also. I can watch cooking shows all day adn Court TV my favorite shows on there are Cold Cases and Forensic Files.
Books:
I've read almost all Toni Morrison books, I read a lot of Eric Jerome Dickey, Sistah souljah, Alice Walker, Ntzake Shange, Terry McMillan. I've also read Cane River by Lalita Tademy and many more of Oprah's book club books. I like to read the books and then watch the movie to them beacuse the movies take away from the book. Some of the books I've read are: Beloved, Bluest Eye, Song of Solomon, Their Eyes Were Watching God, A Raisin in the Sun, Tar Baby, Sula, Women of Brewster's Place, Coldest Winter Ever, The Notebook, The Pilots Wife, The Poisonwood Bible, Tara Road, Rooty Kazooty, Another Day in Paradise, Milk in My Coffee, Cheaters, Lovers and Friends, Every Thug Needs a Lady, Little Mama's Rules, Men Cry in the Dark and The Color Purple I also read the Biography of Alice Walker who wrote the Color Purple and The Biography of Josephine Baker she's my favorite historical figure.
Heroes:
My maternal and paternal great grandmothers for their knowledge, wisdom, and good advice. My mother for the same reason and for encouraging me to do better and supporting me financially and emotionally when I needed it. Myself for being strong and enduring all the obstacles in my life without becoming bitter.
